Literacy and Your Future Our class has researched quite a bit about different career choices that will be available to you once you become an adult. For most careers people are going to need to attend college. At minimum everyone is going to have to graduate from high school. We've discussed what it will take for you to graduate high school, and to go to college if you so choose. Think about all the work that this is going to take. Think about all the things you are going to have to do to complete your education. Literacy can be thought of as having the ability to read and write well. How is literacy going to effect your future? Write a minimum of two paragraphs explaining your response to these questions. Remember to write a draft, and revise and edit that draft, before you post your final response. You will write your response in the discussion section of this page. I have written a sample for you to look at if you are stuck; it is in the discussion of this page.
You will be graded on the following things:
Spelling and grammar
The use of complete sentences
Use of paragraph form (Do you write 2 complete paragraphs that look like they should?)
Evidence of revising and editing (Turn in your draft on the top, black shelf)
Organization: Do you organize your piece so that the reader can understand?
The connect you make to how literacy will effect your future
